What We Do

Sterilization support services

We guide you from the preparation stage until your pet is fully recovered and sutures are removed.

1

Pre-Op Wellness Check

A physical exam to ensure your pet is healthy and fit for anesthesia and surgery.

2

Preparation Consultation

Proper fasting instructions, recovery space setup, and what to expect before heading to the clinic.

3

Post-Op Monitoring

A visit 24–48 hours after surgery to ensure they are fully alert, have normal temperature, and are starting to eat.

4

Wound & Suture Care

Aseptic wound cleaning, bandage changes, and monitoring for signs of inflammation or infection.

5

Suture Removal (10–14 days)

Removal of sutures once the wound is perfectly dry, done calmly in your home.

6

Hormonal Change Education

Discuss behavior changes and nutrition needs (obesity risk) that typically shift after sterilization.

Suitable For

Who this is for

Sterilization is a long-term health investment for your dog or cat.

Cats (Male/Female)

Preventing pyometra in females and reducing spraying/roaming behavior in males.

Dogs (Male/Female)

Reducing mammary/prostate cancer risks and supporting emotional stability.

First-time Owners

Owners spaying/neutering for the first time who need step-by-step guidance to avoid panic.

Post-Op from Other Clinics

Pets already operated on at a clinic but who want check-ups and suture removal at home.

Why At Home

Why sterilization care is better at home

The critical phase of sterilization is not just on the operating table, but in the first 3 days of home recovery.

1

Less Risk of Popped Sutures

Pets stressed in cars while going for clinic check-ups often struggle, which can pop sutures (dehiscence).

2

Monitored Hygiene

Post-op wounds are sensitive. A clean home environment is much safer than a busy clinic waiting room.

3

On-Site Environment Advice

The vet can give immediate advice on cage positioning or the best recovery area inside your house.

4

No Traffic or Waiting

Focus your energy on comforting your recovering pet, not on driving through Jakarta traffic.

FAQ

About sterilization care

Do you perform the surgery at home?

No. Sterilization surgery must be done in a sterile operating room at a clinic with full anesthesia equipment. We handle pre-op prep and post-op wound care/suture removal at your home.

When is the best time to sterilize my pet?

Generally after 6 months of age, but it can vary by breed and health. Consult us for the most ideal timing.

What should I do if my pet licks the sutures?

It is critical to keep the e-collar (cone) or recovery suit on to prevent the sutures from opening or getting infected. If the wound looks wet or open, contact us immediately.

How long before sutures can be removed?

Usually between 10 to 14 days, depending on individual healing speed. The vet will evaluate this during the visit.

Do pets become lazy after being sterilized?

Metabolism typically drops after sterilization, so they may gain weight faster if food portions are not adjusted. We provide post-steril nutrition guidance.
